The following E-mail was sent in October, 2004 to Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries in Florida: Matthew 7: 13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Dear Dr. Kennedy, I've been getting your newsletters and e-mails on a regular basis for years, but was prompted to write to you after watching your television program this morning about Reclaiming America. While your cause is very noble, I feel (1) you are fighting against God's will for the end time scenario (see Daniel and Revelation), and (2) your words are falling on deaf ears because most people are NOT believers and never will be in a world that has truly become "as the days of Noah were". America is NOT going to return to her Christian roots because too much damage has been done. People are spoiled and used to getting their own way and doing "their own thing". Nobody is going to take that away from them now! It's become the norm to be mouthy, violent, me-oriented, anti-social, gay, or sexually promiscuous, etc. If you get pregnant, just get an abortion; who cares? It's not a baby until it's born.... Today, "good" is viewed as bad, while "bad" is viewed as "cool". Just look at what's happening on television and the movies with people like Ellen Degeneres whose causes are literally changing people's minds about homosexuality - and those stupid reality shows that shove down our throats every decadent thing the human mind can possibly come up with - and whose ratings are apparently through the roof! People LOVE that stuff! Why would they EVER return to something most probably never knew in the first place? God, the Bible, and the Ten Commandments have been out of style since Madeleine Murray O'Hare. The last 40 years of a downhill slide in our country are proof of that fact. Unbelievers view us as kooks and morons as we stand there praising God with our hands in the air. They don't realize that when we pray and worship, we are in deep communion with God and that something is happening inside us. To them, we're aliens from another planet, to be mocked and spat upon. To them, God is a figment of our imagination. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:14 - But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. Unbelievers can't possibly understand those who believe - and from what I can tell, most don't want to. The world prefers to stay carnal, and their views certainly outweigh ours as is evidenced by the ever-growing decadence. Every one of the Ten Commandments - things that God gave us to live by in order to be TRULY happy - is being more and more ignored and/or downright challenged. Unbelievers - most of them who have never even cracked the Bible - write to me constantly, blasting me at every turn for trying to spread God's Word. They insist that there is no God. After all, so much damage has been done in God's Name, so many killings, so much violence has been perpetrated in a world that, were there really a God, He would have put a stop to it. On the other hand, some point to the Old Testament and try to tell me that God Himself is a God of violence and hatred because He personally killed people and caused others to go to war against each other, etc. (As you know, when viewed through the limited, human mindset, the Bible is totally incomprehensible.) Most people are blinded to the Truth and, unless God Himself opens their spiritual eyes, we are wasting our breath. (You wouldn't believe how many times I have had to remind myself that God tells us NOT to argue with unbelievers, or cast our pearl before swine....) God's end time scenario is going to happen, no matter what we do. His timing is not our timing and His ways are not our ways. We're not going to stop "the world" from becoming what it is; there are too many things that have come into play over which we have no control. False prophets are everywhere; some of the churches themselves have become "false prophets" as their teachings preach anything BUT God's Word! And yet, many people are following them without question. (Why is this? Don't they read the Bible for themselves? If something cannot be verified in the Bible, then it is NOT of God, simple as that!) The rest - the atheists, the agnostics, the hypocrites, and the "lukewarm" - are blindly and unwittingly following the "Pied Piper", Satan himself. They think with their limited, human mindsets and thereby reach limited, human conclusions - never realizing that they are playing right into the hands of God's enemy! (Please take a look at my response to Dr. Stone, the Presbyterian elder who recently made the comment to a TERRORIST leader that Muslims were easier to deal with than the Jews! He (along with the rest of the Presbyterian Church) apparently doesn't realize that God is using the Spirit of Islam to help usher in His "end time" scenario. Rev 20:4 tells us that many believers will be beheaded for their belief in Christ. Well, who are the ONLY people on earth who still behead? The Muslims! And they've already started beheading "infidels".....While on this subject, please also see my article about how Islam has spread like a cancer in Europe and most people don't even realize it - or care, for that matter.) Dr. Kennedy, with anti-Semitism becoming rampant again throughout the world, with Israel in never-ending peril and overwhelming evidence that most of the world is now on the side of the "Palestianians", it seems Bible prophecy for the end times is staring us in the face; it is "even at the door": I personally believe we are in the twelfth hour, and that there is no stopping any of this. We are on a downhill slide. The Bible makes it very clear that the ONLY way this world will ever become normal is after our Saviour returns to defeat Satan once and for all. Like I said above, your cause is very noble and I will pray with you that many people's spiritual eyes will be opened before Yeshua returns - but more than anything, I will pray for God's will in this matter - whatever it might be.
