Various media around the world have, for some reason, suggested that President Barack Obama may be the Messiah or a at least a holy icon of some kind. So, without further ado, The Refiner's Fire presents the many reasons why Obama is not, could not be, nor ever will be, the Messiah....

1 Corinthians 15: 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1 Thessalonians 4: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

So far, nobody in the entire history of the world - except for possibly Enoch (Gen. 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:1-11) - has been "raptured"; nor has anyone "descended from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God." That, in itself, reveals that Obama is NOT the Messiah because these things will come to pass at Y'shua's Second Coming! In the meantime, although our new President has done his level best to impress us with his attempts to change our entire government and turn the world's enemies into America's best friends, we've never seen him perform one single miracle (i.e., walking on water, supernaturally changing water into wine, or raising the dead....not to mention, if he were really the Messiah, he would have by now ushered in world peace in accordance with Numbers 6:26; Psalm 29:11; Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 2:1-4; 9:4-5, 7; Zechariah. 9:9-10; etc.)

In order to qualify as Messiah, President Obama must meet many more requirements. Here are but a few:

• He must be a Hebrew and Aramaic speaking, tallit wearing, seventh day Sabbath and Biblical Feast keeping, Torah observant, kosher JEW named Y'shua (Yeshua) whose Hebrew name means "Salvation". Obama is a self-proclaimed Christian who hails from a Muslim family and background, and whose idea of "peace in the Middle East" means giving away the Land that GOD HIMSELF gave to the Jews! Neither of the religions in Obama's background commands Torah observance, which totally goes against the commands of YHWH....
  
  

  Leviticus 25: 23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

  Genesis 15: 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: (the territory of) 19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, 20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, 21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

  Genesis 35:10-12 God said to him, "Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel." So he named him Israel. And God said to him, "I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will come from your body. The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you."

  Deuteronomy 34: 4 "This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, 'I will give it to your offspring'"

  2 Chronicles 6:5-6 'Since the day that I brought My people from the land of Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house that My name might be there, nor did I choose any man for a leader over My people Israel; but I have chosen Jerusalem that My name might be there, and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.'

• According to the Bible, Y'shua has so far only fulfilled the first four Biblical Feasts. There are just three more to go, and the next one will be the so-called "rapture" - which will happen during the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles), when Y'Shua returns.
  
  
• Y'shua was our final SIN Sacrifice and upon His return HE will be ruling and reigning the entire Earth from Jerusalem. Obama is a mere MAN in charge of one country.
  
  
• Y'shua was a perfect man with a Divine Nature who never married has no need to be married upon His return because He a Divine Being. Obama is married with children.
  
  
• Y'shua was born to a virgin in Bethlehem (Isaiah 7:14, Micah 5:2). Obama's mother was not a documented virgin when she got pregnant with him.
  
  
• To qualify as the BIBLICAL Messiah, Obama would have had to DIE on the world's behalf as an offering for sin (Isaiah 53:5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12).
  
  
• He would have had to have been rejected or "cut off" (died) (Daniel 9:24-26), and been betrayed by a friend for 30 pieces of silver. (Zechariah 11:12-13)
  
  
• He had to have been wounded and whipped and nailed to a stake/cross so that we could be "healed by his wounds." (Isaiah 53:5)
  
  
• Obama would have been responsible for fulfilling the already-fulfilled Tanach prophecies (of which there are more than 300) that could ONLY have, and have already been fulfilled by someone named Y'shua haMashiach.
  
  
• Deuteronomy 18:15-18 informs us that God would raise up another prophet like Moses. How does Obama compare to Moses? What "promised land" is he leading us into?
  
  
• And last but not least, Obama has never been resurrected from the dead (Psalm 16:10-11).
