This is a perfect example of the kind of ignorant statements made by people who think/believe they have the market cornered on God's Truth. For some reason there seems to be this misperception among Christians that they are the only ones who have a relationship with God. Nothing could be further from the truth, as our Challenging Mainstream Christianity page amply reveals.
Perhaps it would interest the arrogant Ms. Coulter to know that America has been blessed because of the Jews who, unlike Christians, TRULY WORSHIP the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob according to Torah! If it hadn't been for the Jews and the fact that Yahweh purposely scattered them "into the nations" Gentiles would never even have heard of Yahweh or Yeshua! The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would have remained the best-kept secret of tiny, little Israel....
Coulter's statement about Christians believing in the "Old Testament" is totally bogus, because if Christians truly "believed" in the "Old Testament," they would be Torah observant. Instead of observing their man-made "holy days" of Christmas and Easter, both of which are steeped in paganism, they would instead be keeping Yahweh's holy days - the ones He commanded to be kept FOREVER! Let's verify this via the Scriptures:
The Bible tells us that anyone who wants to follow the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is to be Torah observant:
Numbers 15: 13 "'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. 14 For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do. 15 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD: 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.'"
Some insist that "Torah was only for the Jews", but as we can see from the above, that is not true. The "foreigners" include everyone (any non-Hebrew - a Hebrew term which means, "to cross over") who has chosen to believe in Yahweh/Yeshua/the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! The Bible tells us God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8); that Yeshua is Divine; and that He and His disciples were all Torah observant, seventh day Sabbath and Feast-keeping, kosher Jews. The Bible also tells us that His original followers in the First Century (before Catholicism came to pervert the Word), were all Torah observant, as well. So what supposedly happened to change that?
Jeremiah 31:32 tells us that Yahweh made His "new covenant" with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah; He did not make a "new covenant" with the Gentiles because He did not have an "old covenant" with the Gentiles. He did, however, extend His grace and mercy to the Gentiles who, once they become believers in Yeshua, automatically become part of "Israel"! And God told Israel: "I give you good instruction: Do not forsake my Torah" (Proverbs 4:2).
Deuteronomy 32: 21 They aroused my jealousy with a non-god and provoked me with their vanities; I will arouse their jealousy with a non-people and provoke them with a vile nation.
In the Tanakh the words "gentile", "heathen" and "pagan" were often synonymous. A Gentile was (and still is) a non-Jew, someone who did/does not believe in, or worship YHWH. (Please see Ezra 6:21, Nehemiah 5:8-9, Isaiah 9:1, 42:6.)
Romans 10: 19 "But, I say, isn't it rather that Isra'el didn't understand?" "I will provoke you to jealousy over a non-nation, over a nation void of understanding I will make you angry."
Those who are a "non-nation" are Gentiles, not Christians! Christians were simply a group of religious people, not a nation. (And no, America is NOT a Christian nation. While there might be "believers" there are more non-believers. We are a decadent nation full of sin....)
Romans 11: 11 "In that case, I say, isn't it that they have stumbled with the result that they have permanently fallen away?" Heaven forbid! Quite the contrary, it is by means of their stumbling that the deliverance has come to the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.
Please note Paul, a Jew, does not say "Christians" or "the Church" will be grafted in or provoke Jews to jealousy; he said "Gentiles." In other words, it won't be the Christians through one of their myriad denominations who end up making the Jews jealous; it will be the Torah observant believers....
Gentiles are "grafted in" to the Olive Tree. It's the Jews - the ones with whom YHWH made His original covenant - who are doing the sharing of the "rich root of the olive tree," not the Gentiles - but the Torah observant Gentile believers in Messiah will certainly get to play a major part:
Romans 11: 17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you - a wild olive - were grafted in among them and have become equal sharers in the rich root of the olive tree then don't boast as if you were better than the branches! However, if you do boast, remember that you are not supporting the root, the root is supporting you.
It's the Jews who are doing the sharing, because the nations (Gentiles) had nothing to share with the Jews except paganism. Christianity, which insists Torah was "nailed to the cross" is perpetuating paganism by rejecting Torah and attempting to insert man-made "holy days" into Yahweh's equation.
So, if anyone will lead the Jews to jealousy, it's those who are Torah observant believers in Yeshua haMashiyach!
Ms. Coulter - please pay close attention to the following:
Religious Jews are Torah observant and doing His will already - which certainly puts them in a favorable light with Him, far above those who have changed the dates of our Savior's birth, death and resurection, and are pushing paganism down our Creator's throat via man-made holidays!
Just because Jews have so far not been willing to acknowledge they already have a Final Sin OFFERING in Yeshua - who, by the way, is NOT your Torah-less "Jesus"! - this no reason to get "uppity" and make ignorant statements like, "America would be a better place without the Jews." Why SHOULD the Jews believe in your "Jesus" who in no way resembles the actual Torah observant, seventh day Sabbath and Feast-keeping Jewish Messiah who actually walked this Earth?
Rather than to make ignorant statements about the Jews, try leading them to YESHUA, instead! The Bible tells us they will one day believe in Him (no thanks to people like yourself):
Romans 11: 25 "For, brothers, I want you to understand this truth which God formerly concealed but has now revealed, so that you won't imagine you know more than you actually do. It is that stoniness, to a degree, has come upon Isra'el, until the Gentile world enters in its fullness; 26 and that it is in this way that all Isra'el will be saved. As the Tanakh says, "Out of Tzion will come the Redeemer; he will turn away ungodliness from Ya'akov and this will be my covenant with them???when I take away their sins."
It's not "the Jews" who need perfecting, Ms. Coulter; it's you! You owe every Jew in the world an apology! Better hurry because you've insulted Yahweh's "Chosen" and Judgment Day is just around the corner....
