You want to insist Yeshua is not the Messiah?
Too bad for you!
You want to insist Yeshua is not the Messiah?
Too bad for you!
Christian converts to Judaism are working overtime these days to disprove the New Testament and bash the idea of Yeshua. The following is a response to one such person, who is on Facebook expending much energy to place doubt in those of us who do believe in Yeshua. She recently wrote the following:
"I am listing below many Scriptures from the Torah/Tanakh that say that YHVH is ONE and that HE is our SAVIOR. Please take time and read them all. They are from the Bible not some foreign book. Where in the whole Torah/Tanakh does it say anything about if you reject Yeshua (the son) you are rejecting YHVH (the Father) and without the Father and the Son there is no gift of the Holy Spirit and God's indwelling presence? Please tell me where it says THAT YHVH DECIDED THAT HE WASN'T ENOUGH AND HE NEEDED SOME ONE ELSE TO BE A SAVIOR IN HIS PLACE!"
And then, to "prove" her point, she went on to list tons of scriptures from the "Old Testament." Below is our response....
This type of propaganda is proof that many seem to have a comprehension problem and we know from experience that, no matter how many scriptures one can present to counter their nonsense, they will knock themselves out to twist the "real meaning" in order to make it fit their agenda. And their agenda is to make God out to be a liar...to make you believe that His Word doesn't really mean what you think it says. Rather, THEY have all the answers...and the answer, according to them, is: There was nothing beyond the "Old Testament. The entire New Testament is a myth and Yeshua is a lie, because YHWH never demanded "human sacrifice." (Response to that nonsense can be found in our article challenging the anti-missionary, Rabbi Tovia Singer.)
Well, for those with "ears to hear and eyes to see," there is PLENTY of evidence in the "OT" that reveals that YHWH would send a Messiah – which is certainly HIS prerogative; after all, HE KNEW mankind needed someone on earth in the flesh, to teach face-to-face (not to mention, Y’shua was willing to martyr himself as the Final SIN Offering!) Nothing in Scripture prohibits that!
YHWH is God and He can do whatever He wants - and He never said He would ever send anyone to replace Him!What He said was this:
Deuteronomy 18:15 "ADONAI will raise up for you a prophet like me from among yourselves, from your own kinsmen. You are to pay attention to him, 16 just as when you were assembled at Horev and requested ADONAI your God, 'Don't let me hear the voice of ADONAI my God any more, or let me see this great fire ever again; if I do, I will die!' 17 On that occasion ADONAI said to me, 'They are right in what they are saying. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kinsmen. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I order him. 19 Whoever doesn't listen to my words, which he will speak in my name, will have to account for himself to me. (CJB)
Whether the anti-Yeshua types like it or not, YESHUA IS THAT MESSIAH! He has fulfilled more than 300 Tanach prophecies! What are the odds of something like that? Well, feel free to Google mathematician and professor, Peter Stoner, who insists the probability of even just 48 prophecies being fulfilled by one person (referring to Y'shua) is the incredible number of 1 in 10^157 power!
Since these converts to Judaism also now have an affinity for Talmud, perhaps they would be interested in knowing that there is Talmudic evidence for Messiah!
And since it’s scriptures they want, here are here just a FEW:
Genesis 49:10 The scepter will not pass from Y'hudah, nor the ruler's staff from between his legs, until he comes to whom [obedience] belongs; and it is he whom the peoples will obey. 11 Tying his donkey to the vine, or: until Shiloh comes his donkey's colt to the choice grapevine, he washes his clothes in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes. (CJB)
Micah 5:2 But you, Beit-Lechem near Efrat, so small among the clans of Y'hudah, out of you will come forth to me the future ruler of Isra'el, whose origins are far in the past, back in ancient times. (CJB)
Isaiah 9:6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us; dominion will rest on his shoulders, and he will be given the name Pele-Yo'etz El Gibbor Avi-'Ad Sar-Shalom [Wonder of a Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace], 7 in order to extend the dominion and perpetuate the peace of the throne and kingdom of David, to secure it and sustain it through justice and righteousness henceforth and forever. The zeal of ADONAI-Tzva'ot will accomplish this. (CJB)
Isaiah 11 (and be sure to read the whole chapter!): 1 But a branch will emerge from the trunk of Yishai, a shoot will grow from his roots. 2 The Spirit of ADONAI will rest on him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fearing ADONAI 3 he will be inspired by fearing ADONAI. He will not judge by what his eyes see or decide by what his ears hear, 4 but he will judge the impoverished justly; he will decide fairly for the humble of the land. He will strike the land with a rod from his mouth and slay the wicked with a breath from his lips. 5 Justice will be the belt around his waist, faithfulness the sash around his hips. (CJB)
Isaiah 53 (and be sure to read the whole chapter!): 1 Who believes our report? To whom is the arm of ADONAI revealed? 2 For before him he grew up like a young plant, like a root out of dry ground. He was not well-formed or especially handsome; we saw him, but his appearance did not attract us. 3 People despised and avoided him, a man of pains, well acquainted with illness. Like someone from whom people turn their faces, he was despised; we did not value him. 4 In fact, it was our diseases he bore, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God. 5 But he was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises we are healed. (CJB)
Jeremiah 31:31 "Here, the days are coming," says ADONAI, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Isra'el and with the house of Y'hudah. 32 It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers on the day I took them by their hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt; because they, for their part, violated my covenant, even though I, for my part, was a husband to them," says ADONAI. 33 "For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra'el after those days," says ADONAI: "I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 No longer will any of them teach his fellow community member or his brother, 'Know ADONAI'; for all will know me, from the least of them to the greatest; because I will forgive their wickednesses and remember their sins no more." (CJB)
So, who is the Living Torah and Word of YHWH? See John 1:1-2 and John 1:14 – and let’s not forget John 14:6 "Y;shua said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except by me. 7. If only you would have known me, you would have also have known my Father. And from now on you know Him and you have seen Him...."
We could go on, but surely you get the picture? It's truly sickening to see so many lost folks trying their best to render Y'shua and the New Testament useless. They even go so far as to suggest since Joseph wasn't Y'shua's real father, then Y'shua could not have been a Jew or the "Lion of Judah" (Revelation 5:5). Really? Well, here's a wake-up call: This article reveals why He IS the Jewish Messiah!
Questions for the anti-Yeshua and anti-New Testament people: What gives you the right to suggest that YHWH is a liar? Are you 100 percent certain that YOU are correct in your assertions? WHAT gives you the right to kick His Divine Messiah in the Face and join the throngs of rebels who have turned their lives over to satan and live to take people away from YHWH’s TRUTH? Anyone can provide scriptures to back up their respective ideas and opinions...but those who have the Ruach haKodesh residing within would never dare to presume they have the right to twist Scripture into what THEY want it to be!
YHWH gave us an entire document called the Bible - which (as those with understanding can see!) fits together like perfect pieces of a puzzle, from Genesis to Revelation. Yet, the Adversary is doing his level best to delude YHWH's people into believing otherwise. ("Did God really say...?" Genesis 3:1.)
Believers in YHWH/Y'shua/Torah: Scripture commands that we love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). So, stand strong! Proclaim the Word - ALL of it! Do NOT let the enemy take you away from YHWH's TRUTH! Just because "they" have decided to jump off a cliff, doesn't mean you have to join them....
One final question to the anti-missionaries: If you're not going to accept that Yeshua was the prophesied Messiah, then how will you recognize "the messiah" when He comes? What are you going to do to convince yourself that the Messiah has come, when someone says "He's here!"?
