Dear Refiner's Fire...
(NOTE: We are posting this rant from a traditional Jew exactly as received!)
Was jezes perfect? No.he didnt even attempt the very first mitzva given to humanity. Do u know what it is ? is he the messiah just bcuz he suffered and supposedly arrived riding an ass ? Dissapointed in u quoting da voigin ting! New covenant at Jer.31? didnt happen yet.besides it will be with israel. How do u define 'messiah'? What do u hafta do to be qualified as Gd's annointed redeemer?
Our Response...
Clearly this "gentleman" wished to disrespect us and our belief. He couldn't even bring himself to use correct spelling, punctuation or grammar, and therefore, we didn't bother to try to carry on a dialogue with him. Instead of arguing with people like this, we simply send them the articles on our website that amply answer their questions.
Of course, as is usually the case with those who write to challenge us, he wasn't interested in reading our articles, and so he kept pounding us with question after question, designed to show why "jezes" - as he irreverently called Y'shua - couldn't possibly have been the Messiah; and, as you can see above, one of his allegations was: "Was jezes perfect? No.he didnt even attempt the very first mitzva given to humanity. Do u know what it is ?"
He was obviously referring to YHWH's command to Adam and Eve to "be fruitful and multiply" - Genesis 1:27-28. What this illustrious, misguided person doesn't seem to comprehend is that, that particular command was to Adam and Eve only (we aren't told there were any other humans on earth until after they were kicked out of Gan Eden), and it certainly wasn't given on Mt. Sinai as one of the Ten Commandments! Plus, it's NOT a command that we HAVE to follow. We are all given the capability to procreate, but nowhere in Scripture does it say we have to have children, or else!
If Y'shua had had a wife and kids, He would never have chosen to die on that stake, to leave behind a widow and orphans! YHWH would not have expected Him to do that. Y'shua's mind - as we see in Luke 2:49 - was always on YHWH. He knew who He was, and He didn't have time for a wife and family. That would have been a huge distraction. So, this attempt by the anti-missionaries is like ALL their attempts to discredit Y'shua - it's weak, and it's a slap in the face of YHWH whom they are calling a liar. (See Isaiah 53 and all of the Feasts/Appointed Times which foreshadow Y'shua.)
God is preparing a BRIDE for Messiah from His body. Please feel free to search on the word "bride" in the Bible, and you'll see what that means.... It would seem that "in the end" the beginning will be fulfilled. Plus, on some level, YHWH fulfilled the "be fruitful" by begetting a Son who has opened the Kingdom to everyone who believes in the reality of this Son. There's a LOT of fruitful and multiplying going on through Messiah, but just not "in the flesh" - and remember, when Adam and Eve were told this, they were still "unfallen."
As for the answers to his other questions (and again, we're posting them exactly as we received them!) we referred him to these articles on our site:
Question: is he the messiah just bcuz he suffered and supposedly arrived riding an ass ?
Answer: Foreshadowing the Messiah ben Yosef; Read all our challenges to traditional Jewish comments on our our page!
Question: Dissapointed in u quoting da voigin ting!
Answer: Let's talk about almah!
Question: New covenant at Jer.31? didnt happen yet.besides it will be with israel.
Answer: Isaiah 53 is NOT about Israel!; Isaiah 53 DOES refer to the Messiah!
Question: How do u define 'messiah'? What do u hafta do to be qualified as Gd's annointed redeemer?
Answer: Messiah - the criteria; The Hebrew Bible identifies the Messiah; Did Yeshua truly fulfill OT prophecies?; So you don't believe Yeshua was YHWH come in the flesh?; Let's face it: Right now, today, we are "as in the days of Noah!" (Matthew 24:37). The whole world is falling apart at the seams. We're experiencing war, terrorists activities, fires, floods, famines, disease/pestilence, etc. "Religion" and "religiosity" are rampant! Myriad "religious" folks are on the Internet espousing their respective opinions and theologies - and they all have followers.
Muslims with their demonic religion are busy killing anyone who tries to thwart their plans of world domination. But Christians with their nearly 40,000 different denominations and myopic "grace only" focus centered on the last third of the Bible (misunderstanding most of it), and the egotistical Hebrew Roots/Messianic types with their endless infighting about Hebrew words, moon phases, and calendars heatedly discussed within their various factions - are serving to kill the spirits of anyone who attempts to find their way to God.
And religious Jews, all the while, are busy knocking themselves out to keep YHWH and His Torah all to themselves, because somehow they view themselves as the only people in the world as worthy of the attentions of the Creator - all because they've done what everyone else has done, which is to "cherry pick" scriptures to pieces so they can keep tight tabs on their own agendas. Somehow, Deuteronomy 15:13-16 (wherein YHWH says FOUR TIMES in a row that ALL who accept Him are to do exactly as His people do!) has totally escaped them.
Somehow, it has totally escaped them that many Egyptian Gentiles followed Moshe out of the Egypt during the Exodus, and were absorbed into the different Tribes and ultimately told by God Himself that there was no difference between them and His Torah observant people! Somehow, it has escaped "the Jews" that there were no Jews until the third Patriarch, Jacob, had a son named Yehudah/Judah, whose offspring became the Tribe of Yehudah (Genesis 29:35; Matthew 1:1-2) - yet from Adam and Eve to Noah, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - EVERYONE was Torah observant! YHWH spoke; they obeyed! The Tanach (OT) shows that His Chosen were called Hebrews (Genesis 14:13).
Neither Torah nor the rest of the Tanach was ever meant just for "the Jews", and "the Jews" have no right to suggest that YHWH never told them about His Messiah! Yeshua is, in various ways, foreshadowed throughout the entire Tanach! Yeshua; not just some "future messiah"...Yeshua, who has already fulfilled more than 300 Tanach prophecies!
Yes, people continue to play games with the Word; but the fact remains: While people are busy twisting Scripture to suit their respective purposes, nobody is fooling the Almighty!
