What is it about Pastor Paula White that keeps people blinded to the fact that she seems to be in it for the money?
Most people will fall for anything that's "ear tickling" - especially when they're being tickled by a beautiful woman who sounds like she knows what she's talking about. (Messianic Rabbi Ralph Messer [someone who, as a Torah observant believer in Messiah Yeshua should know better] apparently fell for Paula's nonsense back in 2007, when he committed the blasphemy of wrapping her in a Torah scroll and telling her that she was now "hidden in the word of God." And truth be told, if Paula was truly knowledgeable about the Torah, she would never have allowed Messer to perpetrate this heinous deed!)
Let's check out what Paula White supposedly knows about Torah. Below is what this woman proclaimed on her website during the High Holy Days of 2010:
Concerning Yom Kippur:
This year the Day of Atonement falls on September 18th. Please join us as we remember this sacred covenant on His most Holy Day of the year. Don't miss this opportunity to honor God with your best sacrificial offering and release the eight promises of the Atonement for you:
Whenever YHWH makes a covenant with someone, He says words to the effect of, "I am making a covenant with you today!" Those "eight promises" of Paula White's were figments of her own imagination, not a "promise from God"! And on Yom Kippur, we are to spend the day in prayer, "denying ourselves" and "repenting" ... meaning, the ONLY "sacrificial offering" we are to make is to refrain from eating food (fasting) and doing the things we wish to do, such as going to the mall or the movies or having coffee at Starbucks, etc. Our "sacrificial offering is certainly not to consist of "sending money to Paula White! SHAME ON HER!
If she had bothered to read Joel in context, she would have seen that YHWH said He would do these things for His people IF they turn to Him with repentant hearts (Joel 2:12-18).
While there are certainly "good and godly Christians," Christianity with its nearly 40,000 Christian denominations, promotes the "New Testament-only, we're under grace" concept; not YHWH's Torah Commands that require us to DO something for Him! Christianity blatantly ignores His commanded Seventh Day Sabbath and the Feasts/Appointed Times. Christianity calls Torah a "curse" and promotes the MAN-MADE "holy days" of Christmas and Easter - both of which have their roots in paganism. Christianity has spawned some pastors who are so rich, they have money to buy yachts and jets! The Tribe of Levi - which are the ONLY Priests YHWH ever created, survived solely on the people's tithes ... and they certainly couldn't afford jets or yachts or mansions with those tithes!
No, Paula's agenda for the 2010 High Holy Days was NOT to please YHWH but to get people to tithe to her! (Google Paula White to discover she hasn't changed her stance very much since 2010.)
Let's take a look at the scriptures Paula cites above to see what they actually refer to:
Joel 2: 21 Don't fear, O soil; be glad! rejoice! for ADONAI has done great things. 22 Don't be afraid, wild animals; for the desert pastures are green, the trees are putting out their fruit, the fig tree and vine are giving full yield. 23 Be glad, people of Tziyon! rejoice in ADONAI your God! For he is giving you the right amount of rain in the fall, he makes the rain come down for you, the fall and spring rains - this is what he does first. 24 Then the floors will be full of grain and the vats overflow with wine and olive oil. 25 "I will restore to you the years that the locusts ate, the grasshoppers, shearer-worms and cutter-worms, my great army that I sent against you. 26 You will eat until you are satisfied and will praise the name of ADONAI your God, who has done with you such wonders. Then my people will never again be shamed. 27 You will know that I am with Isra'el and that I am ADONAI your God, and that there is no other. Then my people will never again be shamed. 28 "After this, I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions;
What"sacrificial offering" are we supposed to bring and where does He ever promise us "financial abundance?" What "God" is she talking about? You never once see the Name of YHWH (Yahweh) anywhere on her website.
The above passage, read in context, shows that YHWH wasn't talking to the Gentiles here; He was talking about HIS people - Torah observant Israel who obeys His mo'edim (Appointed Times), keeps His Seventh Day Sabbath and eats only kosher animals, fish and birds! He wasn't talking to Paula White's followers who ignore the Seventh Day Sabbath and His Appointed Times and try to push man-made "holy days" down His Throat while munching on pork and shellfish!
There's nothing in the above passage that says He is going to make us financially rich today! Furthermore, YHWH's Presence has always been with His people; tithing to Paula during the High Holy Days won't "release" anything - that is a blatant LIE!
YHWH has CONSTANTLY, throughout the entire Bible, brought "restoration" to His people. And let's not forget, Yeshua's atoning death brought the ultimate "restoration"....Paula White is using YHWH's mo'edim to get you to reach deep into your pockets and give NOT to YHWH but to Paula White!
Paula's website proclaimed basically the same thing for Sukkot/the Feast of Tabernacles - including her mention of the blessings you will receive IF you "donate" to her ministry:
We're in God's appointed Fall Feast Season, which began with Rosh Hashana ('Trumpets'), followed by 'The 10 Days of Awe' which lead up to God's holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, "The Day of Atonement."
Now, during the period of sundown September 22nd through sundown September 29th, we are celebrating God's final fall feast, as we observe the divine appointment of the "Feast of Tabernacles" (Sukkot). God says in His Word:
Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty (Deuteronomy 16:16)
The Feast of Tabernacles(Sukkot) provides you with a final opportunity to come into allegiance and alignment with the promises of God during the fall feast season!
During the 10 Days of Awe leading up to the Day of Atonement you might have spent time dealing with issues of forgiveness, or addressing bad habits, etc. The Feast of Tabernacles offers you the opportunity to release your harvest of blessing, and enter into a place of new beginnings. As you come into allegiance with God's divine appointment to meet with Him, you will release the eight promises He has for you: Increase, Revelation, Fresh Anointing, God's Power, Restoration, Financial Abundance, No Shame But Deliverance, and God's Presence!

If Paula actually knew anything about the Sukkot, she would have included the most important detail of all: Yeshua was born on the first day of Sukkot and circumcised on the eighth! Notice also that she never told her readers how to celebrate the feasts. She didn't even provided proper scripture references or a website where they could learn about them. But she did make sure to use scripture references that mentioned people should not "appear before the Lord empty"....In other words, bring your wallets, sheeple!
With Christian pastors like Paula White tricking people into tithing by abusing and twisting YHWH's Holy Word, is it any wonder "the world" views as blithering hypocrites believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?
